Master PRLS Classes
(MPRLS)
 
Recommend Completion of "Introduction to Rotary" before MPRLS enrollment.
These lectures broadly cover the desired skills our leaders should have to effectively plan, organize, manage, promote, present orally, and lead in a Rotary Club or Committee setting. All Master PRLS classes are full day classes (8:30am-3:30pm)
 
  • Facilitation Skills: A class on group Facilitation Skills and is presented during one full-day session. The class is designed to acquaint students with the skills and tools necessary to conduct effective goal setting, problem solving group meetings, and gaining consensus.
 
  • Leading Without Authority: A class on Situational Leadership skills is presented during one full-day session. It teaches how to judge the skills development of team members, fit the right people into the right jobs, and define the leadership principles required in order to manage any team effectively.
 
  • Effective Communication and Planned Public Speaking: Comprise the Communication and Public Speaking series and is presented during to interdependent, 2 full-day sessions. The classes include a rigorous program of instructor and group evaluated communication skills, extemporaneous and planned public speaking exercises designed to improve anyone's ability to present ideas to a group. These sessions are limited to a maximum of 12 students per instructor.
MPRLS -Effective Communication completion is a prerequisite to MPRLS Planned Public Speaking.
 
  • Business Planning & Project Management and Grant Certification: A full-day final session on Project Management leading to Master PRLS graduation. It is a class that requires all the skills learned in Introduction to PRLS and all Master PRLS classes. Class members are divided into teams of 4-6 that work together to prepare and propose a major Rotary project to the Rotary Club of PRLS. This class also qualifies the attendee with the District/Rotary Foundation Grant certification.
MPRLS Classes are a prerequisite to MPRLS Business Planning & Project Management enrollment.
