Camarillo Rotary Scholarships
The winners of the essay contest this year are:

On May 24, the Rotary Club of Camarillo awarded college scholarships to eight deserving students.  Applications were invited from all high schools in the Camarillo area.  We are happy to announce that:
Delainey Fay Bright from Rio Mesa High School received the Philip B. Gore Scholarship
Chelsea Austin Flores from Rio Mesa High School received the Bill Maxwell Memorial Scholarship
Jorden Rae Harber from Rio Mesa High School received the Elaine Peterson Inspirational Scholarship
Bryne Tiffany Kirksey from Adolfo Camarillo High School received the Tish Taylor Scholarship
Madison Taylor McCardell from Rio Mesa High School received the Scott Family Memorial Vocational Scholarship
Harrison Charles Mello from Adolfo Camarillo High School received the Christopher Vanos Memorial Scholarship
Hanna Marie Rueter from Adolfo Camarillo High School received the Michael Levanant Memorial Roadrunner Shuttle Service Scholarship
Hailey Alyssa Schulenburg from Adolfo Camarillo High School received the Bill Kohagen Memorial Scholarship
Camarillo Rotary makes a special effort to award scholarships to students who exemplify the Rotary motto of "Service above Self."  The Scholarship Committee interviews each candidate to see how they are involved in the community.
Awards were also given to three 9th grade students at Adolfo Camarillo High School for the best essay about the 4-Way Test, an ethical guide used by Rotarians for making personal and professional decisions.  It goes like this - Of the things we think, say or do: Is it the Truth?  Is it Fair to all concerned?  Will it build Goodwill and better Friendships?  Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?  The winners of the essay contest this year are:
