District 5240 Rotary Club Presidents and New Generations Chair,

The New Generations committee is pleased to announce that this year the district will be sponsoring two young adults to represent our district at the annual Rotary International United Nations Day. We  will be nominating one exceptional Rotaractor and one Interact Alumni who will be at least 18 years old by November 1, 2010.

This is a first for our district and we are excited to offer this opportunity to our young Rotarians during New Generations month in September.

Please click here or on the link in the left hand column to view the nomination guidelines for the contest. The deadline for submission of nomination is September 7th. Our time-line is very tight because of travel arrangements and security clearances at the United
Nations. No late submissions will be accepted so please give this your immediate attention if you would like to make a nomination. Any Rotarian within District 5240 or a faculty adviser may nominate a deserving individual.

The New Generations Committee is offering this a pilot program and we hope to grow it year after year as we learn more about the opportunity.

YIRS,
Donna Prenta
