District Membership Co-Chairs

David Velarde, Santa Barbara Sunrise

At the urging of his employer, David became a Rotarian in 2005, joining the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise. In addition to helping and leading various projects, he served as Club President 2012-13 and was a member of the Charitable Foundation Board 3 times. Has served on the Club Board as Community Service Director, Secretary, Membership Director and Vocational Service Chair.

David has held the following district positions:

District Assembly Chair 2009-10

Regional Membership Advisor 2014-15, 2016-17, 2017-18

Assistant Governor 2015-16

Executive Assistant Governor 2017-18

3 times served as Sergeant At Arm at Southwest PETS

Currently Co-Chair of the District Governor Step Down Committee.

Membership is the highest priority in District 5240 and he wants to do everything possible to enhance the Rotary experience and bring new and returning members into the Rotary District 5240 family.


Lee Ginsburg, Westlake Village Rotary 

I am a member of the Rotary Club of Westlake Village since 1991 to present, previously I was a member of the Rotary Club of Agoura Hills 1988 – 1991. I was past president of the Rotary Club of Westlake Village 2017 – 2018.

Keeping Rotary in the family, my daughter Morgan is co-president of her interact club at Oak Park High and she was lucky enough to attend RYLA this year.
