Rotary District 5240 invited clubs across the district to participate in Flash Mob Day of Service 2026, an opportunity to come together in communities throughout the district and make a visible difference through service.
Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise joined the effort with a morning of service at Alice Keck Park Memorial Garden, helping care for one of Santa Barbara’s beautiful and beloved community spaces.
Members rolled up their sleeves and got to work, weeding, trimming, raking and spreading mulch throughout the garden. Working alongside one another, we made a noticeable difference while enjoying the camaraderie that makes service so rewarding.
We are especially grateful to the park staff for their guidance and assistance throughout the morning. We appreciate all they do to care for Alice Keck Park Memorial Garden.
A special thank-you also goes to Diana Washburn for organizing our Flash Mob Day of Service and bringing our members together for this hands-on opportunity to give back.
Flash Mob Day of Service is a wonderful reminder that when Rotary clubs across our District show up and work together, even a single day of service can create a lasting impact.
