District 5240 established a 501(c)3 Charitable Foundation for the exclusive use of Rotary clubs within the District.

Mission

The Mission of Rotary District 5240 Charitable Foundation (DCF) shall be to provide a qualified charitable organization to support individual Rotary Clubs of District 5240, manage funds for District 5240 District Travel Grants program and Rotaract Matching Grant program.

There are important points to understand about this organization:

  • It has no connection to, nor is it intended to compete with The Rotary Foundation.
  • By law, its governance is separate from that of District 5240.
  • It will have no projects of its own. All activities are those that support district initiatives and the individual clubs of District 5240.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is comprised of the Past District Governor, Current District Governor, District Governor Elect, and four 5240 District Rotarians. The District Governor Elect Nominee is a non-voting invited member of the board.

District Travel Grants

Travel Grants are available from funds managed by District Charitable Foundation. Information and Applications for District Travel Grants can be downloaded from the DCF Travel Grant Related Page on the left-hand menu.

Rotaract Grant Program

Rotaract Grants are available to Rotaract Clubs in District 5240 for support of a single local or international project. Information and applications for District Rotaract Grant are available from the Rotaract Grant Related Page on the left-hand menu.
