Hap Rapp Memorial Track Meet- Rotary Club of Camarillo

Saturday May 13 from 8 am to 4 pm at Adolfo Camarillo High School Track

The Hap Rapp Memorial Track Meet is a Camarillo tradition.  Rotarian Hap Rapp founded the meet for aspiring young athletes 55 years ago.The meet will be on Saturday May 13 at the Adolfo Camarillo High School Track.  The meet is designed for 4th through 8th graders to discover their athletic ability.  Over 300 students from 14 schools are expected to participate.  Events include the 50 and 100-yard dash, high jump, long jump, shot put, relay and distance races.  Dozens of volunteers will measure and time the events.  Ribbons will be presented and high scores will be posted.  The Guy Craig Memorial Award will go to the school that demonstrates the best overall preparedness, sportsmanship, conduct and cooperation. For more information about Rotary, see www.camarillorotary.org.
