The little town of Los Olivos celebrated another year of its fall festival “A Day in the Country” on Saturday October 19, 2019.  The highlight of the entire day was the Los Olivos Rotary-sponsored Parade featuring plenty of tractors and old school cars. After the parade, the streets were filled with craft and artist booths, live music entertainment, and a Wine Roundup.

The Los Olivos Rotary, the “Little Club that can and does,” sponsored a tri-tip sandwich booth that featured a 90 pounds of delicious home cooked tri-tip sandwiches and chips.  The proceeds from the sandwich sales went to the Club functions to send Club Members to conferences, training, etc.

Los Olivos Rotary distributes nearly $45,000 of money raised by the Club to our Avenues of Service which sponsors organizations locally and internationally.   Some of our 2018-19 contributions went to Mia’s Children - an orphanage in Romania, People Helping People - a local non-profit that assists with Advocates for Domestic & Child Abuse Prevention (ADCAP) are to reduce the current number of adults and children subjected to domestic violence and reduce the number of children who become victims or offenders as adults, and several industry-focused scholarships to our local students - nursing and firefighting.
