Spring is in the air! If you are a teenager in high school, you’re probably thinking about the PROM!! “What dress should I wear?” or “What suit should I wear?” An elegant dress or a sophisticated suit builds confidence in a teenager going to the Prom. Westlake Village Sunrise Rotary partnered with the Westlake Village YMCA’s Prom Clothing Closet event to help students who might not be able to afford a beautiful dress or handsome suit. The event at the YMCA let prom goers choose an outfit including a dress or suit, shoes, purse, jewelry and make-up so they could join their peers in celebrating Prom Night in style. WLV Sunrise Rotarians donated clothes as well as a substantial check to support this worthy case. Over 200 local teenagers went shopping at the Prom Closet and left with wide, confident smiles in amazement that they were going to Prom in beautiful, stylish clothes.
