On Saturday, August 1, at 6:30 a.m., Bakersfield North Rotary and the Boys and Girls Club of Kern County, together with community volunteers, will host its annual Back-to-School Shopping Event, providing approximately 200 pre-selected elementary and middle school students from the Standard School District, Beardsley School District, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County with new school wardrobes at Kohl's, located in the Northwest Promenade.
This annual service project is made possible through the generosity of Bakersfield North Rotarians, whose individual donations and fundraising efforts throughout the year enable the club's Foundation to purchase new clothing and school essentials for children in need.
