Our club has been busy giving back to the community! We kicked off the summer by joining the City of Westlake Village 4th of July Celebration, helping decorate the day before and then passing out popsicles on behalf of the city. Kids enjoyed a fun pinwheel craft at our booth while we shared information about Rotary with the adults, and we even connected with a young person interested in starting an Interact club at their school!
Next, we partnered with the Conejo Schools Foundation to stuff more than 200 backpacks for CVUSD students experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. We then rolled up our sleeves for a second backpack-stuffing event with Safe Passage, helping more local kids start the school year prepared.

We are so thankful for our members and their friends and family members who volunteered their time. These projects show what Service Above Self looks like right here at home!
